Evening Mammal Watching

Speyside Wildlife’s Evening Mammal Watching hide is located within the grounds of Inshriach and a short stroll from Gardeners Cottages.

Their spacious and comfortable hide provides you with one of the best opportunities to watch wildlife at close quarters, including Badgers all year round and Pine Marten can also be seen.

A variety of other Scottish wildlife may visit our hide whilst it is still light, including Tawny Owls, Red Squirrels and Roe Deer.

Each evening wildlife watching experience lasts approximately three hours and your guide will meet you at the entrance to Inshriach.

The hide can also be booked on an exclusive basis if you wish to have a private experience for your own family or guests during your stay.

Badger Photography

Speyside Wildlife’s Badger photography hide is located within the grounds of Inshriach, in a peaceful woodland setting.

The hide allows you to photograph and watch these timid creatures from a respectful distance, as they forage the woodland floor and interact with each other.

During the summer months the nights are short in the Cairngorms and Speyside Wildlife’s hide provides the opportunity to photograph Badgers in natural daylight.

The hide is bookable on an exclusive basis for an evening. No artificial light is provided, so higher ISOs are needed because of the woodland shade – examples of images taken, and the settings used are detailed below in the gallery.
